The Ministry of Construction has proposed that the Prime Minister authorizes the building of houses for low-income earners from now to 2015 in order to ensure social welfare.
Under the proposal, about 26,000 houses will be built for one third of
poor households, at a total cost of approximately VND49,000 billion.
The
beneficiaries will include State employees, the police, the armed
forces, and low-income earners. They will pay a monthly rental under
contracts to be signed with State agencies.
It is estimated that from now to 2015, Vietnam will need to build 180,000 houses for State-employees and low-income earners.
